Shungu Namutitima International Film Festival of Zambia (SHUNAFFoZ)
Founded in 2006 Shungu Namutitima International Film Festival of Zambia (SHUNAFFoZ) formerly known as the International Film Festival of Zambia (IFFoZ) that was located in Lusaka the Capital City of Zambia until 2012. In March 2012 the festival re-located to Livingstone, the tourist Capital and changed its name to Shungu Namutitima (Smoke that Thunders) International Film Festival of Zambia (SHUNAFFoZ).
A project of Vilole Images Productions, Shungu Namutitima International Film Festival of Zambia (SHUNAFFoZ) formerly known as the International Film Festival of Zambia (IFFoZ) was founded on 28th October 2006 in Lusaka, to pursue a focused vision of contributing to the development of the Zambian film industry. It was instituted on the premise of contributing towards empowering individuals to the growth and visibility of the local film industry and celebrating the abilities of the all artists including the underprivileged through the art of film. This is the only film festival dedicated to celebrate films about/of women and the underprivileged in the African society.
Aim
The main aim of SHUNAFFoZ is to showcase and promote products with themes that educate, inspire, sensitize, advocate, entertain, are inclusive and hopefully bring hope to the helpless. Through this platform, it’s VIP’s hope that all person in the industry and film lovers from different parts of the country and the world would come together to screen movies, networking, sharing and exchanging information, sell and buy products that celebrate the theme of each year.
